"The Tell-Tale Heart" is a short story, written by Edgar Allan Poe, that tells the obsession of a madman with the white eye of an old man. The mad wanted to eliminate the eye, and he killed the old man. He hid the body and when the police went to the house, he said that the old man was on holliday. Finally, the mad told the police that he killed the old man.
Edgar Allan Poe was the inventor of the Psychological Horror Story, his first macabre story was Metzengerstein, published in 1832. He also invented the detective stories and the science fiction.
