Miley Cyrus has been a rebel surprise for everybody. Last year on VMA she appeared in a strange way dancing with Robin Thicke, as if they had a lot of confidence. People started saying that her performance was disgusting and the audience disliked it. This year she has appeared cuddling a British singer (Sam Smith) and it has caused another sensation.

However “Wrecking Ball” has had more than 715 views on YouTube.

Ms Cyrus’ and Mr Thicke’s trajectories were amazing even people made comparisons to other artists.

Twitter and Instagram helped Miley Cyrus’ popularity a lot. Bu although something sexuality arrived and they made a rebellion (smoking pot, partying with friends…)

All this happened, in my opinion, because Miley wanted to change her Disney-girl image. I like her and I think she’s not that bad because she’s natural and shameless. A lot of people have criticised her because of her behaviour and image change.

Only because she’s not a little girl anymore you can judge her. She has been the real change between Disney and reality. It’s true that her behaviour, apart from being original or different, has been “bad” but, people shouldn’t let themselves be influenced that much.

DREAMS

Dreaming is one of my favourite hobbies. I knew dreams can’t be controlled, but even though I love them.

Dreams appear in different situations: while you are sleeping, when you get fascinated looking at something… there are different occasions, sometimes I dream while I’m awake, and that’s not something people do, but I do.

I really love listening to music, and for me music is so related to dreams. When I go to bed, before I go to sleep, I take my earphones and I turn on the music. That makes me feel more relaxed even if it’s rock music, or dubstep, or anything else.

The most incredible thing about dreams is that when you have them while sleeping, most of the times when you wake up you can’t remember them. That feeling of happiness or angriness caused by a dream you don’t remember, it’s finally a feeling of frustration.

Even though I love dreaming and sleeping, hey are a great activity of imagination and development of your ideas. 

TEENAGERS WORK, STUDYING

“Batxillerat” consists in effort, improving yourself to have better marks. When I started that course I really couldn’t imagine how hard it is. ESO was so easy compared to Batxillerat. I thought we would do more difficult exams or something, but it isn’t only this, we have to do a lot of homework and make notes. It isn’t the same as last year. In 4^th of ESO we only made notes of the thing the teachers told us to, now we have to write down most of the things, because they’re all important.

That first impression I have of Batxillerat has been the first impression for the majority of my classmates. The exams we are taken are so hard because, for example, last year, when we finished a topic of each subject we took an exam and that was it. Now we plan a week or two each term and we take all the exams in that period.

Next year in second of Batxillerat I would have to improve myself a lot because in the second course you have to present the TDR, which means “Treball De Recerca” (a research project), in the middle of the year. We start that project in the middle of this year. Then, in the second year, we will do the selectivity exam to go to university; because we have to have some strict minimums and marks. The average of Batxillerat plus the selectivity exam and the TDR make the final mark to have the chance to get into university.

After Batxillerat, I would like to do an economics career or something like that, because the business world is something I like so much. I like numbers more than history, literature, languages or philosophy, because it’s easier for me.

I think I would like to go to UdG (University of Girona) because they do the “ADE” career, which means administration and direction of enterprises. I would like to be living in a flat there with two of my friends, Andrea and Sandra; because they both want to do some economics things like me. And when we finish, I don’t know, I will see it then. 

FILM REVIEW: "QUERIDO JOHN'"

The name of the film in English is “Dear John”.

It’s a movie based on a boy who meets a girl and they fall in love immediately. He goes to the “war” and they both always talk by letters. It’s a great movie because it’s so romantic and special and it’s perfect to see it with your boyfriend.

John Tyree and Savannah Lynn met on the beach. They started talking and meeting. He went to the war and sends letters nearly every day telling what they have done, and that stuff.

I loved the love story because it’s a different story that typical ones, the main characters are pretty good doing their job and the sensibility they use is in a perfect point. There was nothing I didn’t like because it’s one of my favourite films.

It is a film that’s worth seeing, a brilliant one, and I will recommend it to everybody who likes love stories. 

DRUGS IN THE ADULT WORLD

Talking about drugs isn’t an easy thing to do, because drugs are something that hurt inside and a little bit outside.

When I say that drugs hurt inside I mean that when you take them, your body starts feeling exited, happy, tided (it depends on the drug), but the truth is that your organs aren’t used to these kind of things and they could get ill.

Some people only take drugs like weed or tobacco, and if you don’t abuse them, it isn’t so bad because your body doesn’t feel it so much, but if you take too many (in case of weed) you can get into big trouble not only with your health, but also with your economy, family…

Moreover drug addicts sometimes go crazy to get money for drugs, and if they have no work, they could steel people’s money or value things from their own family to buy them.

In my opinion taking drugs is a bad idea (logically) because it’s true that you have fun for a moment, but the consequences are so bad. People who start with drugs think that, for once it isn’t a problem, but for strong drugs like cocaine, heroin, make you “addict” the first time, because your body “likes it” the first time and it wants more “fun”. That’s a big problem because if the first time your body refuses it, you wouldn’t take it. In the case of tobacco and weed it’s different because to get addicted you have to take them so many times.

However, when someone is drug addicted, sometimes the family take them to a detoxification centre and that’s good because they can stop taking drugs, it’s true that they need help, but it’s a good thing to do, even if it is hard.

HOMOSEXUALITY

Homosexuality is a very interesting topic to talk about, because in general, in the majority of the societies, it’s thought to be a bad thing. In some religions people think that the people who are homosexual have an illness because they are different from others, they like different things.

Nowadays, I believe people shouldn’t have this idea, because we are in an advanced society and we are more used to seeing that kind of things because we don’t judge people as before.

Being a homosexual is not a bad thing I think, because each person has their own likes and if a person respects love between a man and a woman, it can respect it between two men or two women.

In recent years people are more open about this subject, because a lot of famous people, for example, have made known their homosexuality. My opinion is that, to say it it’s a very courageous thing, because your family and friends aren’t used to having that imagine of you and now they have to accept it and, sometimes, they don’t. The first time when people knew, it’s difficult to put up with that big change, but if they care about the person who has said that, finally they accept it.

If I was the mother of a homosexual boy or girl, I would totally accept it because that’s something that you can’t change about a person. Sometimes people try to hide it because of the image other people would have about them, but it’s something that can’t be hidden. I would say that there are more homosexual boys than girls, I don’t know why but that’s what I imagine.

Guys need to say it sometimes because if they want to have children they have to say it to somebody, but women can get pregnant if they wantwith much less help.

NEWS ITEM 1

Repeat: I’m a nice shark, not a mindless eating machine

This article talks basically about sharks, but in relation to the behaviour of animals in general. Some scientists have discovered that animals could have personality, not as humans but in their own way. People think that sharks are aggressive and all that stuff, but of the 400 or so shark species that exist, only three or four of them attack humans.

Several scientists have done some experiments to know if animals really have personality or emotions and some of them have worked, and now we know that they’re not machines, they could be sensible too.

My opinion about this is that animals are all so different, each one has lived some experiences that make them react to things in different ways, I think, and that’s what people don’t care about. If I ever see a shark, of course I would run away from it, because what the article says is true. We had the image that sharks attack people because in most of the films related to that topic, sharks appear as if they are aggressive or something and that’s basically our image of them. I believe they could be good but, even if they’re good and I knew it, I couldn’t get nearer to them.
