MY WORLD: Catching Fire

In this post I'm going to talk about one of my favourite films, the second of a saga called The Hungry Games.
The first film is about a world made up of 12 or 13 districts. That district fight once a year to entertain the people of the capitol. The fight consists in fighting until death. The people who fight are a girl and a boy of each district, but all of them under age.

In the first film, the elected ones of the district 12, by adraw were the main male character, Peeta, and the sister of the main female character. The little girl was very afraid, so Katniss says: "I want to be a volunteer".
Then she went to the hungry games and won against Peeta.

In the second film, they retrurn to the hungry games because the capitol bosses have changed the rules. The people who have won the other games went to take part there.
Peeta and Katniss pact with four contestants to help each other and won the games together, because like in the first film, they had to fight until death. The island where they "play" works like a clock, every hour strange things happen in all over it, and the contestants had to avoid that strange things to stay alive. Some of them die when that hour arrive, when everything changes. It could be monkeys that kill people, venomous gas or honybees, etc.

In the end, the ones who were still alive, make a plan to break the dome, escape, and survive. But then, a lot of things happen and Katniss ends up on a plane, on the way to District 13. I still don't know what could happen now, because I haven't read the books, so I am waiting for the 3rd film!

MY WORLD: Opinion about politicians and elections

Talking about politics we can start a very long debate. I'm going to say what's my opinion about that.
First of all, I hate politics, because most of our governors only think about themselves and their family, they defraud us a lot of times. Many spanish people continue electing those politicials, and that's one thing that I have never understood.
It's true that elections are free to choose anyone we want, but political publicity is, a lot of times, false, because they say something that's going to be good for us and then, they don't do it, only because they are so lazy.
In conclusion, I would like to say that I don't like politics.

That's the logo of a bad political party.

That's the logo of a good  political party.

MY WORLD - Summertime Sadness

22th of June, 2010 the last day of my primary school life. It was a sad, sad day for everybody, because it was our last day together, half of the course, more or less, went to study in Empuriabrava. We have been in the same school since we were, I don't know, 5 years old? So that's why we were so sad, and when I arrived home I started to cry and cry and cry because lose your school friends it isn't a thing to celebrate.
We thought we were going to see each other some other days, but it wasn't as we thought because they made their own friends, and we did the same.
I felt very nervous the summer between 6th of primari and 1st of ESO because for me it was a big step, I thought I would became a little woman, but this didn't happen until I was in 2nd-3rd of ESO.
Now most of the girls of 1st and 2nd of ESO seem like... they aren't like us. It seems as if they think they are older and they're not.
And now, if I remember the old times, I would like to return to my old class, because we have had really good times.

MY WORLD - PET EXAM WRITING

Those are some PET exam writings I have done in my private english class.

Question 6
Hi James! I'm writting this letter to thank you for inviting me to your party. The best thing I liked was the pool time. I laughed a lot! If you want, we can meet the next week, some day. Bye!!

Question 8
I felt nervous when the phone rang. I was sitting in my armchair, watching a criminal serial, and then it started. I felt alone, because my flatmate was at a party. I went to pick up the phone and when I talked, nobody said nothing and I put it down.
Suddenly the lights went out. A door slammed and the phone started to rang again.
I picked it up very fast and, for one second, I listened one baby crying and a girl shouting. Then Emma arrived. Oh goodnes me!
I nearly threw the phone at her!

Question 6
Hello Sam! My journey home was as always, I'm used to your time table, but I can return to my time table in a few days. The things I enjoyed the most were the landscapes, because they were very beautiful. When can you come here to Spain? I want you to see my house!

Question 8
Jo looked at the map and decided to go left. He didn't know where he was. He had to go to a meeting in Japan, Tokyo. He had a map, but he didn't know how to use it. Jo had to go to the most important building of Tokyo, to close a deal with the president of the Nikon company.
After three hours he could found the building and he could finish the deal.
When he finished his work, he wanted to see a little of Japan and he went to the Monte Fugi and other Temples. He enjoyed his wonderful experience a lot!

This new talks about a protest happened in Nigeria. The protest is about 200 girls who were abducted by Islamic militars and the government does nothing to help the parents get back their daughters. That's why they demonstrate on the streets.

I think the government had to be more efficient to help that girls. They are only students so they had a long life to live.

Vocabulary:
gathered
waving banners
abduct (kidnap)
chant (to repeat something again and again)
declare (say officially)

MY WORLD - "The end of the road"

This is our last year, the year when we could start to think and decide what are we going to do with our future... and I'm not really sure about it.
I can imagine myself in the future being a business woman, but I would like to be a psychologist or a primary teacher too.
I think I'm going to do what I wanted to do from the beginning, because there's no work for teachers and too many psychologists, but there will always be work for business people.
Next week we are going to give a paper to our teachers choosing the options we would like to do next year, so I'm so nervous about being wrong. But I believe I'm going to choose the right option and have a life full of emotions and new feelings.
So, I'm going to be positive and a little bit selfish to think more about myself and my future ambitions, because here the end of the road of my compulsory education finishes and my freedom to choose what I want to do begins.

DESCRIBING A PHOTO

I can see mountains in the background and the consequence of a fire in the foreground. It seems that everything has been destroyed because of the Typhoon in Leyte, Philippines.
There is a man in the middle of the image who seems to have been hurt by the fire. He is surrounded by thick smoke and behind him we can only see houses that have been torn down by the Typhoon.
Even though this happened, the sky is blue in general.

This image transmits me sadness because it has to be so hard to put up with a situation like this. It makes me feel annoyed when I see this kind of thing because, it often happens in countries where there is a lot of poverty and sometimes the families get separated.
When I see this kind of images I put myself in their place and think: "What would I do if I was him?"
Moreover, if I was alone I really don't know what I would do.
